Lately I have been getting calls from people who are getting a message on their computer supposedly from Microsoft. It states that the computer is infected and provides an 800 number to call for service. First of all it is next to impossible to contact Microsoft to get any help. They are not going to send you anything about a virus on your computer. Almost anything you click on will increase the virus potential. I would recommend shutting down he computer and calling a computer tech to remove the problem. The longer this virus is on your computer the harder it is to remove. If you have some experience you can try and tackle the problem yourself. If you are not experienced you could make things worse.
Just as a general rule if someone is offering you something for free you probably can’t afford it!
