Today advertising has become very expensive and the cost is passed on to the customer. When you do an Internet search using “computer repair” you will find that the businesses on the first page have paid a lot of money to be placed there. As of today it would cost me $3.73 for anyone that just clicked on my ad. Even if they do not use my services I pay $3,73. That is a $3,000 a month commitment. Who do you think pays for that in the end? The customer always pays. A quarter page ad “in color” in most Idaho yellow pages will cost between $3,500 and $4,300 a year.
Currently I charge around 1/4 the price of these big companies. Are they more qualified than I am? Well I am Microsoft certified (The highest certification) My business is registered with the state of Idaho and I have an A rating with the Better Business Bureau. I doubt that anyone has more credentials than I do. I do work from my home office to save money. I do not pay to have a first page listing online. I have a very small ad in the local yellow pages. This is the only way that I can deliver high quality service at a low price. I advertise on Craigslist and I market my business by joining local groups that provide different services.
I also have a degree in computer security. I have been serving the Treasure valley for over 10 years. Eighty percent of my business comes from previous clients and referrals from current clients. I would recommend starting your search at the better business website. You will find companies already screened and the service will save you time and money.
