There are a lot of tempting ads for used computers out there on the internet. The vast majority of these used computers are being advertised by private individuals who do only what is necessary to get it sold and out the door. If you have a problem a few days or weeks down the road you are usually out of luck. In no way am I trying to say that everyone out there is super gluing these things together but used sales are usually as is sales. As a certified state registered tech I also see many computers with illegal programs loaded including the operating system. I hear people say “I don’t care how the program got on the computer just so it works.” Microsoft frowns on illegal programs and when the updates are installed some of these programs will stop working.
